Ray Quayle's Corvette Home Page

The Corvette pictured here is a 1986 Indy Pace car model.  One of 7315.  I purchased it new and ordered it in my school colors of cherry and black.  It has all available options and the 4+3 manual.  I brought it to England with me in 1990.   The car currently has 57,000 miles on it.  Believe it or not, the top does get to be put down on the odd occasion.  The car has been modified with Grand Sport 13" brakes and slotted rotors.  I painted the plenum, runners and valve covers VHT black and used red Taylor ignition wires in keeping with the cherry and black theme.   An Alpine TDA-7537R has replaced the Bose head unit.  A map pocket was installed as a replacement for the passenger side breadloaf to add a tiny bit of badly needed storage space.  The car has  stainless 2.5" straight dual exhausts with Borla mufflers (no need for cats in UK).  It has run a best of 13.77@105 and a 5.36 0-60.  I was to blame for poor 1/4 mile time with a 2.55 60ft time.  I am a member of the Classic Corvette Club UK and attend as many events as my schedule and the weather permits.  I am a Founder and Lifetime Member of the National Corvette Museum and try to get there at least once a year.
